The SIP1346 is a high-performance yet compact ambient light sensor, also known as an ALS. Response values ​​are output via an I2C communication port.

The SIP1346 internally contains two ALS channels and one scintillation channel. Two sets of photodiodes with ultra-high sensitivity and low dark current, each equipped with specific optical filters, are key components of the ALS, appropriately mimicking the human eye's response and accurately responding to various light sources. Precise timing control and independent gain settings for different channels facilitate the measurement of a wide range of illuminance levels.

The SIP1346 has an internal 1KB FIFO used as a data buffer. The SIP1346 can also be used to detect the flicker frequency of a light source.

The SIP1346 supports a synchronous operating mode triggered externally via the SYNC pin.
