The SIA9165 is a digital input Class-D audio amplifier with an integrated adaptive high-efficiency DC-DC boost converter. Its multi-stage adaptive DC-DC converter can boost the output voltage up to 9.5V, and the 5A boost output current can easily drive hands-free speakers from 4Ω to 8Ω for audio playback, or receiver speakers up to 32Ω for handheld device playback. Thanks to its adaptive boost function, the SIA9165FR1N saves more than 10% of power compared to conventional solutions on the market in low-power output mode.
The SIA9165 also provides over-temperature protection, over-current protection, over-voltage protection, and under-voltage protection to ensure chip safety.
The SIA9165 can be configured via an external processor through its I2C interface. It can be set to one of four specific I2C addresses or a general-purpose I2C address. This allows multiple SIA9165 devices in the system to connect to the same I2C bus.
This chipset is packaged in a QFN package. The product can operate normally over a wide temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
