The SIP1132 is a proximity sensor module that integrates a high-performance proximity sensor with a 940nm VCSEL (Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser). This proximity sensor exhibits high sensitivity to VCSEL light from a target object, and its response data is output via an I2C communication interface.
The core of the SIP1132's proximity sensing capability lies in a dedicated photodiode paired with custom optical filters. These filters serve a dual purpose: ensuring spectral matching with the 940nm VCSEL emitter while effectively suppressing ambient light noise. Furthermore, the module's built-in signal chain integrates ambient light cancellation and noise suppression algorithms, significantly improving the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for proximity measurements under reflected light conditions.
The SIP1132 also features a configurable VCSEL driver designed specifically for driving the integrated 940nm VCSEL. This driver supports factory calibration, optimizing for consistent short-range response across production units—ultimately delivering a superior user experience in object inspection applications.
