The SIA8132 is a high-efficiency mono Class-D audio amplifier that integrates a charge pump multiplier, a signal amplitude controller to prevent clipping, and speaker temperature protection.

The charge pump converter can double the battery voltage to a maximum of 8.5V, thereby providing 3.0W of output power to an 8Ω speaker.

Speaker safety is ensured by SI’s patented speaker protection architecture, which can be implemented with an on-chip protection controller or the Sound Intelligence™ speaker protection and audio enhancement software suite running in the host, creating an industry-leading analog input intelligent audio amplifier.

With its low-noise performance, the device can be configured in either hands-free mode (for playing audio from a speaker) or handset mode (for voice calls from a receiver speaker), making it an excellent solution for stereo applications.

The SIA8132 features an industry-standard I2C interface, allowing the device to operate independently or in conjunction with the Sound Intelligence™ audio algorithms running in a host computer. This chip is housed in an ultra-compact 5.0mm² FCQFN package with a 16-pin 0.5mm pitch, making this solution the industry's smallest high-voltage intelligent audio amplifier. The product operates over a wide temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
