The SIF2688RW is a time-of-flight (TOF) 3D CMOS image sensor with a resolution of VGA (640×480) and a diagonal length of 4mm.
This sensor employs BSI technology and enhances near-infrared (NIR plus) to improve quantum efficiency. Under conditions of no strong sunlight, the absolute target distance accuracy is 1% of the measured distance, and the relative target distance accuracy is 0.5% of the measured distance.
It supports features such as region of interest (ROI), simulated pixel merging, resolution reduction, and flexible frame control and configuration. It operates in global shutter mode, with a raw data frame output rate of up to 240fps, meaning distance frames can be output at least 30fps.
It uses a standard MIPI interface for data transmission. It includes standard I2C and SPI interfaces for receiving control signals and providing control to external devices.
The target applications for the SIF2688RW include facial recognition, gesture recognition, and AR/VR applications for low-power mobile platforms such as smartphones, tablets, and PCs.
